At some point, a car’s battery reaches the end of its lifecycle. Replacing the battery becomes necessary because a dead battery hardly does anything for a vehicle. Neither does a dying one that continues to falter and perform unreliably. Rushing out and buying the cheapest battery might not be the best plan, though.
If you have a dead battery, you can usually jump start it using the battery from another vehicle. Make sure both vehicles are parked close together so that the cable reaches from one battery to another. The cables need to be untangled and in good condition.
